His Jaktronik productions became an extension of that world, music made by a DJ, for the dancefloor.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e“Charger” was an immediate standout. Marc Romboy selected the record for his chart at the time, describing its combination of heavy bass and Detroit-influenced strings as a track that made dancefloors scream.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOn the flip, “Hypnotoad” goes deeper and more hypnotic: reduced, trippy and relentlessly effective, built around repetition, tension and groove.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eTwenty years later, neither track sounds like a museum piece.
