This Lou Reed set is a case in point. It features his first three studio albums -- including his debut, which has been debated by critics since it appeared -- along with Transformer and Berlin, and then gets filled out with the sloppy Sally Can't Dance and the highly underrated Coney Island Baby. This is a treat for fans who only have Transformer and possibly Berlin, since these sets contain completely remastered discs with bonus cuts at a very affordable price, making it almost inexcusable not to go deeper into an artist like Reed. Highly recommended. ~ Thom Jurek

Released: 2008-08-05

Format: CD

Genre: Rock
