Shipp's career launched after moving to New York City, where he immediately sought out Parker. A defining period in both of their musical lives was membership in the David S. Ware Quartet, hailed as one of the premier bands in jazz history. At the same time, both began building their own landmark & now far-ranging discographies as leaders - often working together. A Whole System Of is their brand new Duo creation; only their fourth such album in this form. Celebrating their four-decade-spanning collaboration on a boundless range of work, the intimacy of duo puts to fore the consummate magic of their deeply developed communion.
Tracks
Credits
1
Deeper Fields
2
Notions of Order
3
A Whole System of
4
Momenta
5
The Essential Blue Note
6
Wave Light Non Form

Condition: NEW

Format: CD

Internal ID: 642623802229

Genre: JAZZ

Label: TAO FORMS

Catalog Number: TAOF22.2

Format Type: CD

Released: 11/13/2026
