Description

Big John Patton – That Certain Feeling (Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition) (180G) [LP]

Description

Organist Big John Patton was deep in a groove by the time he recorded his seventh Blue Note album, That Certain Feeling, in March 1968 with Junior Cook on tenor saxophone, Jimmy Ponder on guitar, and Clifford Jarvis on drums. The album put an emphasis on Patton's writing with originals that explored new textures and forms from deep pocket funk to modal vamps. This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition is stereo, all-analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes, and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.
