November 2024 is the 40th Anniversary of the release of 'You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)', which was the lead single on their 1985 CBS Records album, "Youthquake". • This Limited Edition 7" vinyl picture disc celebrates the anniversary. • The single became a UK #1 hit in March 1985, and was, notably, also the first UK #1 for the record production team Stock Aitken Waterman. • 'You Spin Me Round...' reached #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 in August 1985, becoming their highest-charting US single release. • The single also reached #1 in Ireland, Germany, Canada and Switzerland, #2 in Italy, peaked at #3 in Australia and Belgium and #4 in The Netherlands. A truly worldwide hit! • 'You Spin Me Round...' has charted highly twice since the single's original 1984 release. In 2003, an officially endorsed remix as part of the "Evolution" 'hits collection' release, reached #23, whilst the original version reached #5 in 2006, when re-released following Pete Burns' memorable appearance on "Celebrity Big Brother". • 'You Spin Me Round...', which has been voted as one of the greatest pop records of all time on countless polls, achieved Platinum status in the UK and has been streamed more than HALF-A-BILLION times.
