Recorded live at the 2010 Newport Jazz Festival, the four horns and drums fellowship of Dave Douglas & Brass Ecstacy explore material mostly from their recent studio release, including Hank Williams’ “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry.” A highlight is the set closer “Bowie” - a tribute to Lester Bowie - that steadily works the crowd into a loud and appreciative frenzy.
