Rooted in survival, truth, and the reclamation of autonomy, The Nerve carries the emotional weight of it's creation-written in the aftermath of a toxic relationship and expanding outward to confront themes of control, hidden abuse, lack of transparency, and the systems that silence voices. The Nerve is both confrontation and catharsis. It is about speaking up, asking questions, and refusing to stay quiet. Balancing urgency with sharp wit, FEA continue to push punk forward with a fearless perspective. Their songs confront heavy realities-gender-based violence, inequality, and erasure-while still making space for humor, irony, and cultural commentary. This duality has become a defining trait: music that hits hard without losing it's sense of identity or humanity. The band has also earned praise from fellow musicians and collaborators. Kathy Valentine shared: "I'm diggin' the new record from Fea - it sounds original and retro nueva ola punky at the same time, featuring the great Girl in a Coma rhythm section and guitar ace Adrian Connor I knew they'd be good!"
