When Graham Nash casually added a high harmony to the song Stephen Stills and David Crosby were singing while sitting around at a friend's house, the beauty of the sound immediately struck all present. The disc opens with "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes," an early tour de force that combines a percussive acoustic-guitar attack with unconventional song structure and singing that's alternately soulful and angelic.
