Description

Tenor saxist Stefan Isaksson first became widely known in the late 1970s as one of the foremost jazz soloists in Sweden. He then played in drummer Fredrik Norén’s first formations and was later featured in the bands of pianists Stefan Forssén and Per Henrik Wallin, with singer Monica Borrfors and others. As well as his old quartets. This album recorded live in Umeå reflects a high-point featuring pianist Åke Johansson (1937–2011), basist Torbjörn Hultcrantz (1937–1994) and the marvelous drummer Leif Wennerström.
