The first movement begins as a story ends, with a release of raw emotions, then blossoms into a broad surface of harmonic divergences. The second movement reintroduces a crossover of rhythms, torsions, descents and ascents to reveal a paradoxical space that unfolds in the time of an unresolved pacification. Inspiredly and intricately exposing sounds that are both diaphanous and tortuous, Jules Négrier composes a mysterious music, a music that draws from the torments of electronic matter forms and becomings that gradually gain ground in the regions of simplicity. Maria W HORN « All Solids Melt Into Aether » In All Solids Melt Into Aether, Maria W Horn weaves together chords created using an organ pushed to its limits with the relentless textures of computer-generated sounds. Between the extreme, cold precision of the electronic tones and the instability of the warm organ chords subject to pressure variations, a silent drama unfolds, giving rise to a complex world composed of harmonic states which, from their formation to their collapse, induce a powerful and poignant metaphor, conjuring up images of a perpetual, immemorial struggle.
