Released by Philips in 1973, Fuente y caudal (Source and Flow) was Spanish guitarist Paco de Lucía's fifth solo LP and marked the beginning of a new chapter in his career. On this album, he reached a level of technical mastery unparalleled in the history of flamenco guitar. Only 25 years old at the time of recording, Paco de Lucía saw his fame expand far beyond Spain after the release of Fuente y caudal.
