"I wanted to show the vulnerable part of men and boys and celebrate it, instead of making it this whole stigma that's been going on for so long", he explains. That emotional spectrum is reflected in a change of instrumentation, with live drums and guitars coming more into focus ahead of the layers of sun-bleached synths that characterized the band's debut. Following their successful debut album, Dawn of the Freak (2022), The Haunted Youth have quickly become a melancholic dream pop phenomenon, a multi-award-winning band, with over 20 million streams to date and a packed touring schedule.
