A "best of" compilation from Australian psych-rock outfit the Sand Pebbles, best tracks pulled from their four albums.This Australian psych-rock band formed in 1999, the three key members met while working as scriptwriters on the Australian soap-opera Neighbours (which launched the careers of Kylie Minogue and Nathalie Imbruglia). Taking their name from the 1968 Steve McQueen film, they have since recorded four albums. Influences range from Stones to Spacemen 3 to Stooges to Alice Coltrane, sometimes they sound like Sonic Youth, sometimes like the Byrds.
