This Chicago band's newest offering is ten songs written by leader Christian Wargo and performed with analog pop precision by his band of like minded purists. Rather than spending years and dollars at universities to learn the craft of stainless steel tools or test tubes and microscopes, Scientific pines over the formulas to healthy songs working with models presented by other scholars like Stephen Merritt (Magnetic Fields), Neu!, Yo La Tengo, Stereolab, and the VSS.. Having sold 2,500 of their self-released debut CD, "From the Nest of Idea" is a perfect taste of the growth and maturity that's come along since that first CD.

  • Good Plus (G+): Noticeable noise during playback. Only listed if of collector value. Not ideal for listening.
