Slumber Party play a dynamic, moody, guitar driven kind of pop music that sounds unlike anyone else. A classic 60's girl-group delivery, with all four members contributing harmonies, adds an element of overall sweetness to their often-shadowy musical landscapes. Aliccia Berg's songs oscillate between straightforwardness and abstractionlike the best stuff by Lou Reed, Kevin Ayers, Tom Rapp, or Tom Verlaine. Perhaps if you can imagine Nico or Francoise Hardy as the principal singer-songwriter in the Velvet Underground, then you'll have some idea of there these ladies are coming from.
