The relationship between Tech House legend Terry Francis and Sushitech has given birth to something truly special over recent years, reigniting a whole movement centred around the timeless, classic UK acid tech house born in late ’90s London. This signature sound laid the foundation for iconic venues like Fabric in their early days and went on to inspire the subgenres that followed.

Among Terry’s deep back catalogue are a rare few tracks that can truly be described as legendary, and ‘Free’ is undeniably one of those stone cold classics. Originally released in 2003, it is a soulful tech house masterpiece crafted by an artist with an intimate understanding of the movement and the unspoken bond between the DJ and dance floor during long nights. Driven by a relentless, infectious rhythm, an unmistakable bassline, and powerful vocals reminiscent of Massive Attack, it’s a track designed to create unforgettable moments on the floor, something those who know Terry’s legendary sets at Fabric understand all too well.

This special reissue also features two additional rare soulful tracks produced alongside Ricardo Afonso, who contributes his distinct, emotive vocals, as previously heard on cuts like ‘Change’ and ‘Rhythm Spirit’ from Terry’s last LP.

Remastered and pressed on heavy 180g vinyl to the highest audiophile standard, this release showcases soulful tech house at its abso
