Philadelphia's The Trouble With Sweeney, deliver on the promise of their self-titled EP with the sparkling gem of their first full length, "Dear Life". On "Dear Life" the band has been inspired by homespun 60's pop like The Turtles and The Lovin' Spoonful, but also point forward--still purifying their cross-bread alt-country instincts. Produced by Brian McTear (Matt Pond PA, Mazarin), "Dear Life" will appeal to soft-pop fans of groups like the Sundays or Belle and Sebastian as well working class rock stars such as Neil Young or Bruce Springsteen.
